In Vegas, obviously there's chroma key, but I do not find a luma key effect (nor, for that matter, any apparent reference to it). [Luma key, as you may know, is comparable to chroma key. But rather than keying to a color, instead one keys to a level or range of luminance. Typically, one first selects either the white or black end of the scale; then one may also be able to make further fine-tune adjustments. Incidentally, one advantage of luma key over chroma key relates to the fact that there's more luma info in DV than there is chroma info..
